Nippers is for children aged 5 to 13 years (must be 5 years old by 30 September). As children progress throughout the age groups they will develop skills in running, swimming and board paddling – they have fun and develop their beach safety skills all while learning how to become a Surf Lifesaver. We love to welcome new members to our surf lifesaving community!
Nippers at Maroochydore runs from September to March.
Every Nipper U6-U14 is required to participate in the pool evaluation prior to any junior activities being undertaken.
Maroochydore Nipper Information Day is on Sunday 9th August 2026, 9-11am at the Surf Club. Pop up shop with uniform and merch will be available.
Maroochydore Nipper Proficiency Day is on Sunday 30th August 2026:
9:00am – Cotton Tree Pool (U6-U13)
10:00am – Maroochydore Beach (U8-U13)
If you are unable to attend our proficiency day on Sunday 30th of August, you will need to make your own arrangements to have the pool swim signed off for you child. Queensland Government Play on! Vouchers:
From Monday 27 July 2026, Queensland families can claim a $200 Play On! voucher per child aged between 5 and 17.
Please let us know prior to paying if you have vouchers to use for your membership.
