NIPPER INFORMATION
Nippers is for children aged 5 to 13 years (must be 5 years old by 30 September). As children progress throughout the age groups they will develop skills in running, swimming and board paddling – they have fun and develop their beach safety skills all while learning how to become a Surf Lifesaver. We love to welcome new members to our surf lifesaving community!
Nippers at Maroochydore runs from September to March.
Every Nipper U6-U14 is required to participate in the pool evaluation prior to any junior activities being undertaken.
Maroochydore Nipper Proficiency day is on Sunday 31st August 2025:
9:00am-10:00am Cotton Tree Pool (U6-U13)
10:30am – 11:30am Maroochydore Beach (U8-U13)
Maroochydore Nipper Proficiency BEACH ONLY is on Sunday 14 September 2025:
8.00am – 9.00am Maroochydore Beach (U8-U13)
If you cant attend our proficiency day on Sunday 31st August, you will need to make your own arrangements to have the pool swim signed off for you child. Download this form: Junior Preliminary Evaluations – SLSQ and have your child’s swim coach complete it, then send it into our office.

Renewing Families
We are pleased to advise that registrations for the 2025–2026 Maroochydore Nippers season are now open for all renewing families.
To confirm your child’s place for the upcoming season, please complete your renewal via the Members Portal at your earliest convenience.

Queensland Government Play on! Vouchers:
From Monday 4 August 2025, Queensland families can claim a $200 Play On! voucher per child aged between five and 17.
Here’s what you need to know:
- each voucher is worth $200
- the vouchers will be provided over two rounds, for summer or winter sports
- there is a dedicated allocation for kids in regional and country Queensland
- there will be more accessible sports to give children of all abilities the chance play sport.
Please let us know prior to paying if you have vouchers to use for your membership.
