LIFESAVING & TRAINING

LIFESAVING INFORMATION

Lifesaving is the core activity at Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club and our lifesavers are trained to a high standard to protect beach goers. Once you have gained your Bronze Medallion, you are placed on a patrol roster and are expected to perform voluntary patrols for the Club between September and May. More information about the Bronze Medallion is available in the Training space below.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION INFORMATION

Our Lifesavers regularly undertake educational courses that aid their ability to prevent incidents, promote beach safety and protect beachgoers. This training helps save lives, keep Maroochydore Beach safe and develop our members as both people and lifesavers.

Most of the courses listed below are nationally recognised courses provided by Surf Life Saving Australia or Surf Life Saving Queensland and provide opportunities for skills-based development. Courses are only available to patrolling members of our club.

To register your interest or to find out more about a course, please contact the Lifesaving Office.
