Training & Education
Successful lifesaving is accomplished through volunteer lifesavers having specific, relevant and up to date training and education. Lifesavers apply their knowledge and skills to provide the beach going public with a service of prevention, promotion and protection.
Our education courses are nationally recognised courses through Surf Life Saving Australia, providing opportunities for skills based development and are provided for patrolling members of our club, to help save lives and keep Maroochydore Beach safe.
Courses:
Bronze Medallion, Surf Rescue Certificate, IRB Crew and Drivers, First Aid, Advanced Resus, Rescue Water Craft Operations, Radio Operator, Observers, SSV and Tractor inductions

Become an Active Life Saver in our club!
To become a volunteer lifesaver the first award you need to gain is the Bronze Medallion. Once you have gained your Bronze Medallion, active members are then placed onto a patrol roster and are expected to perform voluntary patrols for the Club between September and May.
